SPN.1722 - Shop primer

The product SPN.1722.BE in gray is a high-quality polyvinyl, one-component weldable primer. Its formula was developed for effective protection of metal, aluminum or galvanized surfaces. It is characterized by a very fast drying time and the possibility of overcoating. Due to its long "open time" (up to 6 months), it can be successfully used as a temporary protection primer, for example, in the steel construction market. 
Its formulation means that it can be coated with both 1K and 2K products. However, it is not recommended to apply polyester putty directly to this primer. Its excellent adhesion and anti-corrosion properties make it suitable for protecting industrial machinery and equipment, as well as in the oldtimer or agricultural machinery market. 
This primer can be safely welded, as it does not emit poisonous gases. The excellent smoothness of the coating allows it to be used in "wet on wet" systems.  When combined with Simplex topcoats, it forms a durable coating with good anti-corrosion properties. It can be baked even at 160 degrees Celsius.
