A new definition of color purity and freshness control in the color mixing room

In renovation painting, precision begins much earlier than at the spray gun. The result is determined by the chemical stability of the material, its predictable behavior in various conditions, and whether the mixing plant works with “fresh” components. Profix (Multichem) introduces the successor to the Aqua 2G line – the A2G System – based on two pillars: a new generation of transparent resin and well-thought-out toner logistics.

Less “glow,” more pure color

One of the common challenges in water-based bases is the natural tendency of resins to create a milky or bluish glow. This phenomenon can slightly distort the perception of color, especially in dark shades, blacks, and deep tones. A2G uses a resin with reduced “blue cast,” making the binder more optically neutral and allowing the pigments to “work” without additional color background.

The effect in practice? It is easier to obtain pure colors and a more faithful reproduction of the recipe, and the matching itself becomes more predictable – because the base brings less “noise” to the final impression.

At the same time, the selection of thinners has been refined to ensure stable and predictable evaporation at both low and high temperatures. This really facilitates work in workshops, where conditions are not always perfectly repeatable.

“Matched pours”: toner freshness as a quality factor

The second important change in A2G is the approach to product rotation in the mixing room. In classic systems, low-rotation toners can sit on the shelf in large packages for a long time, losing their optimal application properties. The A2G system solves this by matching capacity to actual consumption: popular toners are available in larger packages, and low-rotation toners in smaller ones.

In practice, this means less waste, fewer “stale” products, and greater repeatability: better pigment suspension, less sediment, and more stable behavior during spraying.

With the development of the palette, two mixes from the WLS series have also been added:

· WLS 02 (Blue Metallic)

· WLS 03 (Glass Effect)

expanding the possibilities of effects and color variants of the system, especially where the “play” of metallic and transparent accents is important.

Label and process: simple things that make a difference

A2G also refines practical elements. The label provides space to write the date the can was opened, which helps in the daily control of material freshness and organizes work in the mixing room, especially in larger service centers.

Integration with a spectrophotometer has also been greatly improved, making recipe selection and color work faster, more intuitive, and less “manual.” For the workshop, this means shorter selection times, fewer trials, and greater repeatability of the final effect.

A2G: a system refined “from the warehouse to the shelf”

The A2G system is not just a name change or a refreshed identity. It is a consistent step towards cleaner color (transparent resin), more stable application at different temperatures (matched thinners), better rotation and freshness control (matched capacities + opening date), as well as more convenient color selection (integration with a spectrophotometer). In painting, details are unforgiving – so it's good when the system starts to “keep an eye on them” together with the painter.
