Choosing the right primer is essential at every stage of vehicle repair and painting. Acrylic primer combines filling and protective properties, making it easier to achieve a perfect surface before applying the topcoat. The Multichem range includes several types of these products, which differ in their properties and scope of application. Regardless of the type of substrate – metal, plastic or previously filled surfaces – you will find a solution tailored to your specific needs.

Acrylic primer – a key component of a professional paint system

Automotive acrylic primer is characterised by good adhesion, fast drying time and ease of application. Thanks to these features, it is ideal for both spot repairs and full bodywork restoration. Importantly, Multichem products allow for application using the ‘wet-on-wet’ technique – without the need for sanding between coats.

As a manufacturer of car paints, we offer, amongst other things, car paint primers, primers for plastics, epoxy primers and reactive primers.

Characteristics of Multichem acrylic primers

Multichem offers a wide range of products, among which every painter will find a primer perfectly suited to the type of repair:

  • CP 365 – universal EXPRESS 2K HS 4:1 acrylic primer. Short drying time, good adhesion and the ability to work ‘wet-on-wet’.
  • CP 375 – fast-drying SWIFT 4:1 HS primer. Very short drying time and broad compatibility with substrates.
  • CP 385 – ‘wet-on-wet’ primer for base coats. Smooth surface without sanding.
  • CP 388 – classic acrylic primer for 2K HS 5:1 car paint. High filling power and good workability.
  • CP 399 MIX IT – cream-coloured primer for acrylic paint with high coverage and the option to select a shade of grey.

Acrylic primer for sheet metal and plastic – different substrates, one result

The choice of the appropriate material depends on the type of surface. The acrylic primer for sheet metal ensures excellent adhesion and corrosion protection for steel and aluminium components. In turn, the acrylic primer for plastic facilitates the restoration of bumpers, mirrors and other plastic components, ensuring a durable bond between the base coat and the topcoat.

Thanks to their well-thought-out formulation and high technical specifications, Multichem acrylic primers are a solution that ensures a professional finish and reduces workshop time.
