Paint consumption calculator

The paint consumption calculator on the Profix website allows you to estimate the amount of paint needed for a vehicle. To use the calculator, follow these steps:

  1. Select the type of vehicle to be painted: Selecting the right vehicle type allows for a more accurate estimate of material consumption.
    • Small car (e.g. Citroën C1, Skoda Citigo)
    • City car (e.g. Seat Ibiza, Honda Jazz)
    • Coupe (e.g. Mercedes-Benz C Coupe, Lexus RC)
    • Convertible (e.g. BMW Z4, Audi TT Roadster)
    • Estate (e.g. Volkswagen Passat Variant, Ford Focus Turnier)
    • Compact (e.g. Honda Civic, Peugeot 308)
    • Minivan (e.g. Volkswagen Touran, Toyota Verso)
    • Sedan (e.g. BMW 3 Series, Toyota Camry)
    • SUV (e.g. Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Qashqai)

  1. Define the paint steps and select the right products: Make sure you have selected the right product and number of coats for each step.

  • Step I: Corrosion protection
    • Select product (e.g. CP 394, CP 595)
    • Define number of coats (1-4)

  • Step II: Primer application
    • Select product (e.g. CP 375, CP 365, CP 399, CP 388, CP 385)
    • Specify number of coats (1-4)

  • Step III: Apply color base
    • Select product (e.g. Acryl, Kar-bon, Aqua 2G, LVcryl)
    • Specify the number of coats (1-4)

  • Step IV: Clear coat
    • Select a product (e.g. CM 10, CP 2016, CP 2015, CP 2014, CP 2008, CP 1800, CP 1500, CP 400)
    • Specify the number of coats (1-4)

  1. Calculate material consumption:
    • After entering all the data, click on the “Calculate” button.
    • The calculator will show the amount of paint needed and the VOC result for each stage.

Please note that the calculator is used to provide an approximate estimate of material consumption. Actual consumption may vary depending on the application technique, surface condition and other factors.

Are you planning to paint your car and wondering how much paint you need per car? The answer to this question depends on many factors, such as the size of the vehicle, the number of coats of paint, and the application technique. To determine the precise paint consumption per car, it is worth using dedicated tools, such as the car paint consumption calculator.

How to calculate the amount of paint per car?

Traditionally, to estimate the amount of paint needed per car, you would:

  1. Measure the surface area of the vehicle: Calculate the surface area of all body parts.
  2. Consider the paint yield: Check how many square meters can be covered with one liter of paint.
  3. Determine the number of layers: Usually, two to three layers of paint are applied.

However, this approach is time-consuming and prone to errors. That is why we recommend using our paint consumption calculator, which automatically takes these and other parameters into account, providing precise results.

Why use the paint consumption calculator?

  • Precision: The tool takes into account the specifics of your vehicle and the selected paint products, allowing you to accurately determine how much paint per car you will need.
  • Time saving: You avoid tedious manual calculations.
  • Cost optimization: Thanks to precise calculations, you only buy as much paint as you actually need, which saves you money.

How to use the calculator?

  1. Select the vehicle type: Specify whether it is a small car, sedan, SUV, etc.
  2. Enter the paint data: Select the products you plan to use and specify the number of layers.
  3. Calculate the consumption: The calculator will give you the exact amount of paint needed to cover your vehicle.

Remember that an accurate estimation of the paint quantity is crucial for a professional paint job. Our paint consumption calculator was created to make this task easier for you and to ensure the best results.

Use the calculator now and see how easy it is to plan your car paint job!
